CALVIO® - Heat made visible
How much heat is actually stored in my system?
Usually, this question can only be answered vaguely for the owner of a solar-thermal plant.
Visualizing the amount of heat stored also enables the user to know at a glance whether the heat is stable or escaping quickly.
Function
A sensor chain collects temperatures in eight different layers. Data are queried over a digital bus system by a controller unit and transformed into transmittable information. In order to avoid unnecessary electrical smog and extension of battery life, data radio transmission occurs for just a fraction of a second when required by the receipt and indicator module (activated by coming into contact with the upper plug).
The display unit receives the temperature information and intuitively converts it by means of variable red/blue light emitting diodes. A contact switch activates the light emitting diodes for approximately 10 seconds.
The warm water supply indicator makes it possible to adjust the consumption behavior and, if necessary, optimize the use of an additional heating system. Through simple visualization, CALVIO thus increases the solar coverage portion without loss of comfort.
